The "Roxi Thoughts" Blog is my electronic doodle pad of random thoughts, and photo album of local sites in and around the Minneapolis and St.Paul, metro area and various locations where I observe nature and whimsy. Follow Us To Mona's Chateau
Even though our advertising budget was low, we still managed to attract a huge audience of inquisitive passers by. Several guests at the beach party inquired as to the where abouts of Mona's Chateau and the fine accommodations it provides. Several brochures were passed out, which stimulated quite a buzz throughout the crowd. All in all it was a slow evening........until all registered guests returned to the Chateau for a very memorable evening.Saturday, June 26, 2010
Thoughts of the Minnesota State Fair
Dog perfect

Don't you just love to watch dogs sleep? Especially this beautiful dog. Do you wonder, as I do, what he could be dreaming about? I watch him move his legs, snort and wiggle around. I bet he's retrieving his toy, or chasing something. All he cares about is eating, playing and sleeping. Oh, to be a dog.....eat, play, sleep, eat, play, sleep.....
Mona's Chateau needs a Tiki Bar
The cocktails would taste better and the yard games would be more fun, if we only had a tiki hut. We could hang lights from under the fringey areas and slide our lawn chairs up close, so Mona doesn't have so far to walk, when it's time for her to fill up our tall glasses of PYP Punch.
Sondi could be a big help with this project. Maybe she could draw us up some blue prints.

Raspberry Island in the afternoon
As I sink into my chair, watching the occasional small boat scurry by, I feel invisible. Blending into the scenery from the bridges and tall buildings high above me, I start squinting to see if anybody is checking out the river from their apartment balcony above me. The only sign of life is a bird, circling the tops of the tallest buildings. It's floating around, making the most of the slight breeze.
I feel the sunshine, warming my shoulders and wonder just how cool the water would feel on my toes.
